The University of Hertfordshire’s Graduate Fashion Show 2019 showcased runway collections from final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design students at the prestigious Old Chelsea Town Hall in London today.
The event marks the conclusion to the hard work, dedication and commitment the students make in producing an array of directional and contemporary fashion looks. This year’s graduate catwalk looks found inspiration from global cultures including Latin heritage, the global traveller, sportswear to the notion of awkwardly geeky hand-me-downs.
The Graduate Fashion Show is sponsored by leading fashion industry brands including F&F Clothing, Lionstar China and Sadie Williams in recognition of the graduating students’ achievements, creativity and talent. Representatives from the fashion industry also attended the event, enabling the students to showcase their collections to prospective employers.
Tony Rosella, Fashion Programme Leader at the University of Hertfordshire, commented: “This year’s Graduate Fashion Show celebrates the wonderful achievements of the BA (Hons) Fashion Design and BA (Hons) Fashion and Fashion Business awards culminating in a runway show at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London. I am very proud to see my student’s hard work being rewarded at such a prestigious event and supported by our industry partners. The event showcases a depth and breadth of creative talent that students have gained over their undergraduate journey. Our graduates make a positive impact on the global fashion industry and I look forward to sharing in their future successes.”
