Students from the University of Hertfordshire are holding a quiz afternoon, with tea, cakes and a raffle packed full of prizes on March 28th, in hopes to raise money for terminally ill children.

Business and Event Management students, Holly Parsons, Hollie Brodie, Ellie Leaning and Gokcen Kurtarici have organised the event to raise awareness and much needed funds for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice – a local charity, desperate to build a hospice that will provide overnight rest for those who need it.

Parsons said that they chose to help Noah’s Ark “because of the fantastic work they do for terminally ill children and the crucial support they provide for the family.” Parsons herself has a disabled sibling who was once feared to be terminal, she said, “It touched our groups’ heart to see how they put a smile on the faces of those going through the unimaginable, and the continued support they provided after the loss of loved ones.”

The group of students, also known as ‘Altitude Events,’ are not only hoping to raise money for the charity, but to also raise awareness and generate further support for such an important cause.

The Quiz Afternoon will take place at The Coach House Restaurant at Hatfield House on March 28th, 2-4pm. Each ticket will cost £10, and all proceeds will go to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. The ticket will get you entrance to the quiz, tea, cakes, and a ticket for their ‘goody-filled’ raffle.

As it stands, the raffle prizes include; two nandos vouchers, Blow dry at Toni&Guy in London, chocolates, beauty goodies, biscuits and many more to be revealed.

If you want to buy a ticket, donate or find out more, you can find Altitude Events by email;
