Kelly’s Storage Herts RAG Run has been organised with the partnership of the University of Hertfordshire Student Union. It will be held on 30th November on the De Havilland campus, where 100% of money raised goes to The Ollie Foundation, which focuses on suicide awareness, intervention and prevention training.
The Students’ Union felt that this article would be a great way to make the student body aware of the charity as well as motivate them to get involved and active!
Student Activity Coordinator, Trinity Handley-Macmath, said: “I want as many students as possible to participate in the RAG run to show their support for the Ollie Foundation – a charity that does such fantastic work for our local community.”
Trinity has been working hard with Kelly’s to promote the run and encourage as many participants as possible.
She added: “It is also a fantastic chance to showcase our university to the public and put on a high-quality event with the help of a local business. Plus, it’s a great to have some motivation to keep on exercising even though it’s dark and cold!”

Kelly’s Storage Charity Events have organised 33 events and raised over £600,000 so far for charity. For every event, they cover all costs and provide all the equipment, so the charities chosen receive all the money raised from the races.
The Charity Event previously held Kelly’s Guildford 10k at the University of Surrey, back in February 2019. The event had 500 participants and raised over £18,000. 100% of the money raised went to the student union’s chosen charities, children’s hospice Shooting Star Chase and mental health awareness charity Oakleaf.
