Facebook has launched a new feature called “Reactions for liking posts,” allowing you to add emotions to a post.
In addition to “Liking” a post you can now “Love”, “Wow”, and “Haha” a post. There are also “Sad” and “Angry” emoticons, which are close to having a dislike button.
This could add a whole new social dynamic to the social network, allowing people to give more sensitive responses to sensitive topics.
In a press release, Facebook said
“We’ve been listening to people and know that there should be more ways to easily and quickly express how something you see in News Feed makes you feel.”
They added, “That’s why today we are launching ‘Reactions,’ an extension of the ‘Like’ button, to give you more ways to share your reactions to a post in a quick and easy way.”
