Following the cancellation of the 2015 Elections results, Hertfordshire Students’ Union have revealed that students who voted in the elections will be able to recast their votes from 10am Monday 16 March – Friday 20 March 3pm.
They said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this process may cause you, and we would like to offer you our sincere thanks for your patience, understanding and participation in our elections process.”
The previous votes have been cancelled due to irregular voting activity. While it has been revealed that some votes may have been cast from incorrect accounts on the SU website, it was not possible to isolate those votes which may have been compromised. This resulted in the decision to rerun the casting of votes while the investigation continues.
Students who voted have been emailed with the details of the recasting process. Those who vote during the allocated timeframe will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of three cash prizes, ranging from £50 to £150.
The results of the 2015 Elections will be announced on 20 March.
