In a Welwyn Hatfield Times article by Mia Jankowicz, it was announced a Blue Cross Rehoming Centre for pets in Kimpton Bottom will be on hand to serve Christmas Dinner for pets yet to find their forever home.

Both committed and animal-loving staff and volunteers at Blue Cross will be there. They hope to give these pets (from cats and dogs to rabbits), some Christmas love and spirit on Christmas Day.

In the last year, Blue Cross has helped thousands of pets and their owners. 30,000 pets were helped, 9,000 rehomed and 8,000 pet owners in grief after their pets has sadly passed away.

Blue Cross Hertfordshire’s, Centre Manager, Kellie Brooks said that: “Christmas time is a wonderful time to think of others, and it’s always uplifting to see that community come together and help those who might not experience the warmth and love the festive season can bring. We’re really grateful to those who are thinking about pets too, who may have lost their owners or abounded”.

Kellie Brooks, also said: “On Christmas day our centre will be making sure the pets feel the festive spirit, by serving them up a hearty meal. We couldn’t do our work without the support of our community, so the team at Blue Cross is calling out to animal lovers for their help to this an extra special Christmas for pets in needs”.

If you’re a pet owner or animal lover yourself, help out these animals in need, this Christmas. The Blue Cross only need a donation of £1 to help fill a bowl with plenty of Christmas treats, for a pet. You can donate online at www.givepenny.com/christmas-dinner-appeal
